The .eu domain extension creates a new “internet space” and a practical way for businesses to create a pan-European identity for in-region markets and international trade.

Between 7th December 2005 and 7th February 2006, Network Solutions are offering Phase 1 requests for .eu domains. During phase 1, the registry will only accept requests from public bodies and holders of registered trademarks. Though the .eu domain is not officially ready, Phase 1 will enable you to queue and ear-mark any domains which may be of interest to your company.

Network Solutions will start accepting Phase 2 requests from 7th February 2006 to 6th April 2006 for those customers with unregistered trademarks as well as company names, key brands and trade names.

From 7th April 2006 .eu domains will be open to all eligible parties.

Registration for accepted .eu domain is £100 plus a non-refundable £15 administration fee.
